Silent Gliss 1080 Curtain Tracks

The Silent Gliss 1080 is Europe's best selling and most versatile curtain track. First introduced in 1954 the 1080 curtain track may also be able to claim that it is one of the most durable designs.

As with most Silent Gliss curtain tracks the 1080 is available in 6m lengths without a join. It can however be infinitely extended with the use of very sturdy joining pieces. The number of accessories and extra fittings makes this track suitable for an exceptional number of applications where a hand drawn curtain track is required.

This track will be suitable for most curtain weights including heavy, and can be forward and reverse bent making it suitable for bay windows. If you are interested in a quote for a bay window please complete a Made to Measure Form Another very specific application for the Silent Gliss 1080 is that is can be bent to an arch.

Standard bending Radius -100mm
Minimum Bending Radius for Arch - 300mm

Bracket spacing, although this is for the 1080, this is a good guide to the bracket spacing for most curtain tracks, although individual applications may vary.

There has been some confusion about how the click in brackets for the Silent Gliss range operate, hopefully the picture to the right will help, we have also made a short video, the bracket fixing is shown at the end.

Accessories

Various accessories are available for this track many of which have been illustrated in the examples above. In addition different gliders, end stops and a joining bridge are also available.

From left to right, the Standard Glider, the Retrofit Gliders which can be pushed into the track without the need to remove the track or end stops and the Rotating Gliders.

End Stops variations are also available for the Silent Gliss 1080 curtain track.
Apart from the first image, the End Stop Cover (which comes as standard), all of these end stops can be loosened and repositioned anywhere along the track.
